The Resident Alerts app shows every alert raised for your residents on one screen. Use the summary cards, search and filters to find the alerts you need, then acknowledge each alert once you have acted on it.
Open the app and take the tour
The Resident Alerts app opens to a single screen with tools to filter, search and act on alerts.
The first time you open the app, a walkthrough appears automatically. It introduces the main areas of the screen, one step at a time. Click through the steps, or dismiss the walkthrough to go straight to the main screen.
You can replay the walkthrough at any time by clicking Take a tour in the top-right corner of the screen.
đ¤Tip: Replay the walkthrough whenever you need a refresher.
Understand the summary cards
Three summary cards at the top of the screen give you an at-a-glance view of alert volumes.
Active: Alerts that still need your attention.
Actioned: Alerts that have already been addressed.
All: Every alert for every resident.
The cards also work as filters. Click Active or Actioned to show only alerts in that state. The selected card has a teal border. Click All, or click the selected card again, to clear the filter.
Search and filter alerts
Use the search bar and filters to narrow the list down to the alerts you need.
Search for an alert
Type in the search box to find alerts by title, description, resident name or alert type. A clear button, shown as â, appears once you have typed something. Click it to reset the search instantly.
Use the filters
Below the search bar, the filter dropdowns let you narrow the list in these ways:
Residents: Shows alerts for a single resident.
Alert Types: Shows alerts in one category, such as Blood Pressure, Falls Risk, Medication, Nutrition or Vitals.
Status: Shows only Active or Actioned alerts. Selecting a status also updates the summary cards.
Date range: Shows alerts that occurred within the dates you choose, or within an all time preset.
Remove filters
Once you apply a filter, a row of chips appears below the controls, summarising what is filtered. Click the â on a chip to remove that filter only. To reset everything, click Clear all.
Browse the alert list
Alerts appear as cards, with the most recent first. Each card shows:
A priority badge showing High, Medium or Low, displayed as a coloured border on the left-hand side of the card.
An alert type badge.
An Actioned badge if the alert has already been addressed.
The alert title and description.
The resident's name, room number, date of birth and any relevant conditions.
When the alert occurred, and who or what triggered it.
If no alerts match your filters, a message appears in place of the list.
Page through results
The list shows 12 alerts per page. When there are more alerts than fit on one page, paging controls appear below the list. They show the current range, for example 'Showing 1â12 of 34 alerts'. Use First, Previous, Next or Last to move through the pages.
Acknowledge an alert
Acknowledge an alert once you have recorded the action you took to address it. Each active alert card has an Acknowledge option.
Click Acknowledge on the active alert card. The Acknowledge Alert dialog opens.
Check the alert details in the dialog to confirm them before you act.
Enter a description of the action you took in the Action Description field.
Click Acknowledge in the dialog.
Record the action taken
The Action Description field is required. Describe what you did to address the alert. A description of 50â200 characters is recommended for clear, concise records. A live counter shows your progress towards the 1,000-character limit.
đNote: The Acknowledge button is only enabled once you have entered some text.
Close without acknowledging
If you are not ready to act yet, click Close and action later. The dialog closes without changes, and the alert stays Active.
After you acknowledge an alert
The alert updates in the list straight away. It shows an Actioned badge and appears slightly dimmed. The count on the Actioned card goes up, and the count on the Active card goes down.
â ď¸Important: Acknowledging an alert marks it as Actioned. Only acknowledge an alert once you have addressed it.
