Add a progress note

Add, link, and manage progress notes in Access Point of Care.

You can add two types of progress notes in Access Point of Care: standard progress notes and handover summary notes. Both are saved in the progress note library.


Add a progress note

  1. Select a resident and open the Progress Notes tab.

  2. Click Add Note.

  3. Choose the note type: Progress Note or Handover Summary Note.

  4. Enter the note content.

  5. Confirm the event date (defaults to today).

  6. Enter the event time.

  7. If needed, mark the note for handover.

  8. Click Add Note to save it.


Link notes

Add a new note directly to an existing one to link them. Linked notes appear together.


View note details

You can see who created the note, when it was entered, and the system-recorded time.


Adjust event time

You can record notes for past events by changing the event time.


Mark for handover

Notes marked for handover are clearly labelled.


Strike through a note

If a note was added by mistake, you can strike it through. A reason must be provided.
