You can use progress notes to view a timeline of updates recorded for a resident. These notes automatically include information from charts, care plan reviews, assessments, and other key records. This guide explains how to open progress notes and refine what you see using search, filters, and ordering options.


Access progress notes

Follow these steps to view a residentโ€™s progress notes:

  1. Open the Residence menu.

  2. Select the resident you want to view.

  3. Click the Progress Notes tab.


Search and filter progress notes

You can narrow down progress notes to quickly find what you need. Use the search box or filters to refine the results.


Use search and filters

  • Type a keyword in the Search box to find specific notes.

  • Apply filters to narrow results by:

    • Note type

    • Author

    • Date range (all time or a specific range)


Order and print progress notes

You can change how notes are displayed and print them if needed.


Change the order of notes

  1. Open the Order menu.

  2. Choose:

    • Newest first, or

    • Oldest first


Print progress notes

  1. Apply any filters or ordering you want.

  2. Click Print to print the notes currently shown on screen.
