You can set up action types to control how early upcoming actions appear for staff. This helps teams prepare before actions are due.

Select your facility

  1. Open the Admin tab.

  2. Click Configure Action Types.

  3. Choose the facility you want to update.

Set lead times for actions

Lead times determine how many days before the due date an action appears in the Upcoming Actions tab. You can set lead times for:

  • Custom Actions

  • Care Plan Review Actions

  • Wound Review Actions

  • Pain Review Actions

  • Assessment Form Actions

To configure each action type:

  1. Tick the checkbox to enable it.

  2. Set the lead time (in days).

Lead time examples

  • Custom Actions: A 1‑day lead time shows the action the day before it’s due.

  • Care Plan Review Actions: A 7‑day lead time gives staff a full week to prepare.

  • Wound Review & Pain Review Actions: A 0‑day lead time makes them visible on the day they are due.
