Actions are planned care tasks that need to be completed throughout the day. This guide explains the different types of actions and how they appear on the home screen.

Types of Actions

In Access Point of Care, actions can include:

  • Risk assessments – creating new assessments or completing reviews

  • Assessments linked to care plans – creation or review tasks

  • Custom actions – for example, tasks related to GP visits

  • Charts – scheduled charts that need to be completed regularly

These actions help ensure all planned care is carried out on time.


Actions on the Home Screen

The home screen gives a quick overview of all actions, including:

  • Completed actions

  • Today’s scheduled actions

  • Upcoming actions

  • Actions due within the next two hours

  • Overdue actions – tasks not completed by their scheduled time

  • Missed actions – tasks not done, and no valid exception recorded
