You can use the Charts tab to view, manage, and track all chart activity for each resident. This guide gives an overview of the charts dashboard, chart types, the charts library, and additional actions available to users with permissions.

Access charts

  1. Go to the Residence tab.

  2. Click the Charts tab to open all charts for the resident.

Charts dashboard overview

The dashboard shows the status of all charts:

  • In Use – charts currently active

  • Continuous Charts – long‑term monitoring (e.g., weekly weight)

  • Active Charts – acute monitoring (e.g., wounds)

  • Completed Charts – finished charts (e.g., healed wounds)

  • Archived Charts – old charts stored for reference

Chart types explained

  • Continuous charts – ongoing monitoring, such as weight

  • Active charts – short‑term, focused monitoring like wound care

  • Completed charts – monitoring finished once the condition is resolved

  • Archived charts – no longer active and hidden from main lists

Use the charts library

In the charts library, you can:

  • Search charts by keyword

  • Filter by status

  • Sort charts by time range

  • Open and review specific charts

Chart details displayed

Each chart shows:

  • Chart name

  • Last person to update it

  • Assigned designation

  • Chart status

  • Assigned location

  • Last updated date

You can also choose how many charts appear per page.

Additional actions (permissions required)

Strike through a chart entry

  1. Click Strike Through on the entry.

  2. Enter a required reason.

The entry stays visible for auditing, but is marked with a line, and the reason is added to the chart notes.

Copy a chart entry

Managers can copy an existing entry to the next observation. This creates a duplicate entry with updated dates.
