The Alert Preferences tab in Access Point of Care lets you manage both baseline healthy range alerts and general alerts for individual residents. This helps ensure staff are notified when a resident’s observations fall outside expected or safe ranges.

Alert Preferences

The Alert Preferences tab shows all baseline healthy range alerts for the selected resident. These alerts are based on the individual’s usual clinical values, such as their typical blood pressure, temperature, or oxygen saturation levels.

You can:

  • Enable alerts for values that should trigger a warning

  • Disable alerts if they are not needed for that resident

Adjusting these settings ensures alerts are tailored to each person’s care needs.

General Alerts

General alerts notify staff when a recorded observation falls outside standard expected ranges, even if no baseline has been set for the resident. These alerts are system‑generated and appear automatically whenever a value exceeds the standard threshold.

🤓Tip: If a resident’s recorded temperature is above 38°C, the system will automatically raise an alert to notify staff of a potential concern.
