You can record an infection observation at any time from a resident’s profile. Each entry forms part of the continuous infection record in the web application. The infection review is automatically scheduled based on the information you enter, helping staff respond quickly and monitor changes over time.

📌 Note: The infection chart is fully client‑configurable. You can add custom fields and adapt the chart to your organisation’s needs. All infection data feeds into the reporting tools within the web application.

Follow along with our video guide.

Open the infection chart

To begin recording an infection observation:

  1. From the resident’s profile, tap Add Observation.

  2. Choose Infection Chart from the chart library.

Enter infection details

To record the details of the infection, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the body site. The relevant area of the body map opens.

  2. Click on the exact location of the infection on the body map.

  3. Select the source of the infection:

    • Inside the facility.

    • Outside the facility.

    • Unknown.

  4. Specify whether the infection affects the whole body.

  5. Record whether there’s a diagnosis, and choose the appropriate status:

    • Suspected.

    • Formally diagnosed.

  6. Record whether a sample has been taken and sent for analysis.

  7. Specify whether the individual requires isolation.

  8. Indicate whether the proper authority has been notified. If yes, enter the date of notification.

  9. Enter the date and time the infection began.

  10. Add any additional notes.

  11. Tap Continue.

Complete the infection monitoring chart

To continue monitoring and record treatment:

  1. Enter the symptoms observed.

  2. Record whether the infection is improving or declining compared to the last observation.

  3. Enter any medication provided.

  4. Add any other treatments administered.

  5. Include any additional information.

  6. Tap Complete.

Your entry is sent to the infection chart in the web application, and the system automatically schedules an infection review.

Review the infection chart in the web application

In the web application, the infection chart provides a continuous timeline of all infection‑related entries. You can view the chart as:

  • A timeline.

  • A table.

  • A body map.

To manage an existing infection record:

  • Complete the chart: Use this when the infection has healed and no further follow‑up is needed.

  • New observation: Add additional observations as part of ongoing monitoring.
